What this concrete footing calculator calculates
A 12 ft × 1.5 ft × 8 in strip footing contains 12 ft³ before waste. The same formula works for an isolated pad when length describes the pad perimeter or count is entered separately.
Formula
Length × width × depth ÷ 12 = cubic feet, then convert 27 ft³ to 1 yd³ and divide by bag yield.
Worked example
For 12 × 1.5 ft at 8 in, 12 × 1.5 × 8 ÷ 12 = 12 ft³. Ten percent waste raises the order to 13.2 ft³, or 0.49 yd³.
