What this concrete stairs calculator calculates
Three 7 in rises and 11 in runs produce a stepped profile before the waist and landing are added. Leaving out the waist makes the order too small.
Formula
Stepped profile + sloped waist slab + landing = base volume; multiply by 1 + waste percent and convert to bags.
Worked example
For 3 steps, 7 in rise, 11 in run, 4 ft width, a 4 in waist, and a 1 × 4 ft landing, the model is 18.51 ft³ before waste.
